Excavations at Dewlish Villa

"... preliminary excavation in the grounds of Dewlish House [in 1969], 1.2km (¾ mile) south-west of the village, relocated the dwelling-house in which a mozaic pavement was found c.1740; a room with plain tessellated floor and a corridor with a geometric design were found to be in good order." (Britannia, 1970)
"... further trial trenching in the grounds of Dewlish House [in 1970] has established that the dwelling-house, associated yards and outbuildings covered c. 0,7 ha." (Britannia, 1971)
