This camp lies on a small knoll in a field overlooking the River Meden on its north bank, just two miles north-east of Warsop. Most of the defensive circuit of this camp may be traced, and its complete outline may be extrapolated. Its long axis appears to be oriented towards the west-north-west, but no confirmed gateways are discernable on A.P.'s. With its south-east corner lying less than 180 feet (55m) from the river, it would seem that at least part of the interior would have been unsuitable for the pitching of tents.
